    • Love this car

By Sue on Tuesday, November 15, 2016

I ordered this car brand new so have been the only owner. I love this car and am having a very difficult time find a good replacement. Even as old as it is, it has been garage kept and taken good care of. It still handles and runs great. The mileage is causing me to go car shopping. I will be so sad to see this car go.
    • I wish they still make them!

My car is very dependable and I would recommend this car to anyone. I would love to but another one but Pontiac is no longer made.
    • Best car I ever had

By Pontiacgurl on Sunday, December 04, 2011

I owned my 1998 Black GTP for 11 years and loved every aspect of this car. The design, reliability, comfort, quality and value of this car exceeds any other I've ever owned. I followed the golden rule of car care and took care of it and it took care of me. I changed the oil regularly and kept it washed and waxed. It was 13 years old with 104,000 miles and it ran like a champ. I was always getting comments on how good it looked and speed enthusiasts were always envious of the engine. I never raced with it but it was nice to know I could get up and go in a moments notice. Getting out of the gate faster than any other car at the red light was always fun. It has been comfortable on several long trips and the ride is smooth and quiet. It got around 19-20 mpg around the city and about 27-30 highway. It had some electrical issues early on with the power windows and heated seat that was fixed under warranty, but since then I have only had to replace belts and other normal wear and tear items. The mass air flow sensor was probably the biggest repair I had in the past 5 years. Overall this has been an excellent car and I loved it. Three weeks ago someone ran into it and it was tragically destroyed. It was the first time I ever cried over losing a car. I looked around at other make and model cars as a replacement but my heart kept going back to the Grand Prix, so yesterday I bought another Black 2004 Grand Prix and hope I get another decade of enjoyment. Grand Prix has some of the best consumer ratings out there. It's a shame this line has been discontinued. But I plan to drive my new one till the wheels drop off.
